These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and responsibilities for using our services, including pet taxi, pet bathing, dog walking, and pet visits. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. About Us

Critters by the Coast is a locally owned and operated pet care service based in Woolgoolga, NSW, serving the Coffs Coast region.
We provide reliable and caring transport, bathing, and care services for pets of all kinds.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • Bookings can be made via phone, email, or social media.

  • Full payment is required at or before the time of service, unless otherwise arranged.

  • We accept payment via confirmed bookings, wherein an invoice will then be emailed for payment.

  • Prices are subject to change; however, any agreed quote will be honoured once confirmed.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of a booking may incur a fee to cover time and travel costs.

3. Your Responsibilities as a Pet Owner

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are the owner or authorised caretaker of the pet(s).

  • Your pet is healthy, vaccinated (as appropriate), and free from contagious conditions.

  • You have disclosed any behavioural issues, allergies, or special needs.

  • Your pet is microchipped and identifiable, or you have informed us otherwise.

  • You provide all necessary equipment (lead, harness, carrier, etc.) in safe condition.

If a pet displays aggressive, unsafe, or highly anxious behaviour, we may refuse or stop the service for safety reasons.

4. Health and Safety

  • We take every precaution to keep pets safe and comfortable at all times.

  • In the rare event of illness, injury, or emergency, we will contact you immediately and, if necessary, seek veterinary care from your nominated vet (or the nearest available clinic).

  • Any veterinary costs incurred will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

  • We will not be held liable for pre-existing health issues or conditions that arise naturally during a service.

5. Transportation (Pet Taxi)

  • Pets are transported safely in secure carriers or harnesses, in accordance with NSW animal transport standards. (Seatbelts are provided by the business).

  • Travel times and conditions are carefully managed for comfort and safety.

  • Owners must ensure drop-off and pick-up details are accurate and that someone is available at the agreed times.

6. Pet Bathing

  • Only high-quality, pet-safe products are used.

  • We take care to reduce stress and ensure the comfort of your pet.

  • We are not responsible for reactions to grooming products if allergies or sensitivities are not disclosed beforehand.

7. Dog Walking and Pet Visits

  • Walks are conducted on-lead unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We will make every effort to avoid hazards and other animals.

  • We are not responsible for illness, injury, or loss caused by unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control (e.g. weather, road hazards, off-leash dogs, etc.).

  • Pet visits are carried out with care and respect for your property and pets. We do not accept responsibility for issues arising from home security systems, pre-existing property damage, or pets escaping due to faulty fencing or access points.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of a booking may incur a partial or full charge.

  • Refunds will be considered in cases of genuine emergency or service fault.

  • No refunds will be given for incomplete services due to undisclosed behavioural or health issues.

9. Photos and Media

We love to share happy pet moments! 🐕💦
With your consent, we may take and share photos of your pet on our social media or website. You may withdraw consent at any time.

10. Liability

  • While every care is taken, Critters by the Coast accepts no liability for loss, injury, illness, or death of a pet during transport or care, except where proven due to our negligence.

  • You agree to indemnify us against any claims arising from your pet’s behaviour, health, or actions during or after our service.

11. Privacy

We respect your privacy. All personal and pet information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website or upon request.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website or upon request.
